The History of Exotic Dancing
It is easy to forget that the art of exotic dance has been around since the beginning of man. In Egypt, dances were performed for the fertility goddess Hathor and in Greece, Aphrodite. Even belly dancing is a form of exotic dancing that can be traced back to the Middle East and has been used as a form of entertainment throughout the ages and is still practised today.
Other forms of exotic dance were American burlesque and Paris had the Moulin Rouge. These were extremely popular and as before, have stood the test of time as shows can still be seen today. The Rumba was a dance of excitement; the Tango too was an erotic experience originating in Argentina.
The art of strip tease was introduced into the burlesque shows in and around the 1900’s where dancers would integrate it into their shows.
